     3. TYPES OF COOKIES

Cookies are usually divided into two macro-categories: technical cookies and profiling cookies.

In addition, cookies can be classified according to the data controller of the personal data collected through cookies, distinguishing between cookies from the site visited (so-called first-party cookies) and third-party cookies.

       3.1 TECHNICAL COOKIES

Technical cookies are used for the sole purpose of optimising your navigation on the Site and allowing us to provide the User with the services requested.

Technical cookies are generally broken down into navigation cookies, functionality cookies and analytical cookies. Specifically:

    1. navigation cookies are essential to offer the User an optimal experience or to allow for the User’s authentication on the Site. Browsing cookies are normally session cookies, and therefore, once the browser is closed, they are deleted.
    2. Functionality cookies are used to store certain User preferences (e.g., language or country of origin), without having to reset them on subsequent visits. Functionality cookies are often persistent cookies, as they remain stored in the Device even after the browser is closed, until their set expiration date or until the User decides to delete them.
    3. Analytical cookies (or analytics) are used to collect anonymous and aggregated statistical information on the number of Users who access the Site and their methods of use and interaction.

       3.2 Profiling cookies

Profiling cookies are used to create User profiles to track their behaviour and are used to offer services, such as sending advertising messages in line with the User's preferences expressed while browsing the web.

       3.3 Third-party cookies

Third-party cookies are cookies related to external domains, i.e., domains installed on the Device by third party sites other than the Site.  Elements (images, maps, sounds, specific links, etc.) sent to the Device by a third party through the Site may be present on each page of the Site.
